When Gary relocated to Newfoundland in 2019, McQueen 1.0 traveled with him, continuing to spread joy. But after a failed inspection and an expensive repair bill left Gary with no choice but to part with his beloved car, he didn’t give up on his dream. In 2021, he acquired a 2015 Ford Mustang, and with a bit of magic from a local shop, Lightning McQueen 2.0 was born—a stunning, upgraded version of the racing icon.
Gary’s passion for the Cars franchise and Lightning McQueen didn’t end with the transformation. He launched a social media page, “Lightning McQueen Ontario,” to share his adventures and connect with other fans. The page quickly gained traction, sparking excitement within the Mustang community and beyond.
