The Kindness Challenge
Day 7 – Accountability Check
How are you doing at saying nothing negative, either to your person or about them to somebody else?
Look back on the past week and identify any cases where you were negative despite your efforts. In a journal or notebook, list them.
Next to each, identify the reasons why you think you slipped up (“I’m so tempted to join in when my colleagues are dissing my boss because I want to fit in”) and what you could have done differently to prevent the negativity from occurring (“I think I just need to leave the break room when they start talking about her”).
Pick one or two success strategies to employ next time. Perhaps take one of the assessments at JoinTheKindnessChallenge.com to identify how you’re doing and what you most need to work on.
